FR Man Arrested For LI Break-Ins
A Far Rockaway man was one of four men arrested last week in a string of vehicle break-ins in Nassau County, according to published reports.
The four men were spotted stealing items from a car inside a Hewlett CVS parking lot last Friday around 1 p.m., according to police. Upon their arrest for the single incident, Nassau County police found the group of men was involved in similar break-ins, including one earlier that day in Lynbrook.
Among the four men arrested was John I. Draper, 32, of 2432 Beach Channel Drive. He was charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief and one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
Others arrested included Joubert J. Cadet, 32, of 147-20 Linden Boulevard, Jamaica; Ronnie R. Steadman Jr., 22, of 114-48 148 Street, Jamaica; and Messiah G. Ingram, 22, of 155-68 115 Road, Jamaica.
The witness, who called 911 told operators that the four men had fled in
1991 Honda Accord. The car was stopped on Franklin Avenue at West Broadway where the men were arrested. The foursome was also charged for vehicle break-ins on October 30 in New Hyde Park and October 6 in Man - hasset.
