Brooklyn Man Shot On Beach 99 Street

A Brooklyn man was shot in the chest and back as he stood on the street in front of 217 Beach 99 Street on November 5, police say.

Officers from the 100 Precinct res - ponding to a radio call of a male shot found Collie Burroughs, 37, a resident of Linden Street in Brooklyn, on the ground, bleeding from several gunshot wounds.

The victim said that he had been shot by a man whom he did not know, but who lives in the Hammel Houses.

Police officials called a Level I Mobili zation, bringing the Queens South Task Force to Rockaway to make vertical searches in the public housing complex.

The Crime Scene Unit found several small caliber shell casings and one 9 mm cartridge during a search of the area.

Burroughs was transported to Jama - i ca Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

No motive was provided for the shoot ing.
