FR Man Arrested For 13 LI Burglaries

A Far Rockaway man was arrested last week and charged in connection with more than a dozen burglaries pulled off in the past two years throughout the north shore of Long Island, according to police.

Anthony Carruth, 45, of 6925 Hillmeyer Avenue, was arrested last Wednesday for a burglary that took place in Glen Cove. Upon questioning, police found that he was allegedly involved in other burglaries, seven in Sea Cliff, two in East Williston and one in Mineola. Nassau County Police said the crimes date as far back as March 2007.

Detectives from the Nassau County Police Department's Second, Third and Sixth Squads aided in the arrest and questioning, which resulted in additional charges that include 13 counts of second degree burglary. Carruth was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead, New York.
