Far Rockaway Man Wanted In Pennsylvania Shooting
Police officials in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania are still looking for a Far Rockaway native wanted in the January shooting inside a motel parking lot, where the victim was shot in the leg, according to published reports.
Police believe the alleged shooter to be Trevor Hart, 20, of Far Rockaway who, on January 18, is accused of shooting Darnell L. Johnson in the right leg inside the parking lot of an area Quality Inn. The shooting is believed to have occurred following a birthday party at the same motel, attended by a large crowd.
Chambersburg Police are alleging that a man attending the birthday party got into an argument with some other men at the same party just after midnight that morning. It was after the fight that shots were fired from a car leaving the parking lot, police said. It is unkown what make or model car Hart is believed to have allegedly fired the shots from.
Johnson was shot and wounded in the upper right leg and taken to Chambersburg Hospital by another person prior to the arrival of emergency service personnel.
Hart is still at large, according to police. He is charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and carrying a firearm without a license.
Police issued a warrant for his arrest in July. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact police at 717-264-4131.
