      The two thugs below, Leroy Sterling (left) and Dushon Green (right) are wanted for a robbery that occurred at about noon on September 30 at 242 Beach 20 Street. A third subject is in custody in connection with the robbery.

Cops Seek Hospital Bag-Stealer
     Detectives from the 101 Precinct in Far Rockaway are looking for this man, who is believed to have entered St. John's Episcopal Hospital at about 11 a.m. on July 23 and removed a bag belonging to a nurse who works at the hospital. He is sought for grand larceny in that he made numerous purchases with the nurse's credit cards. Anybody with information regarding the suspect is urged to call the 101 Squad at 718-868-3429.

Plattsburgh Drug Bust Yields Guilty Plea
      A Far Rockaway resident is heading to jail after pleading guilty to possessing and intending to sell cocaine after being arrested as part of an upstate, New York drug task force investigation that led to 14 arrests last month, according to published reports.

Far Rockaway Man Wanted In Pennsylvania Shooting
      Police officials in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania are still looking for a Far Rockaway native wanted in the January shooting inside a motel parking lot, where the victim was shot in the leg, according to published reports. Police believe the alleged shooter to be Trevor Hart, 20, of Far Rockaway who, on January 18, is accused of shooting Darnell L.

NYCHA Takes Over Beach 41st Community Center
      The New York City Housing Authority, which turned over the operations of several of its community center to outside operations earlier this year due to a lack of funds, has taken over the 41st Street Houses Community Center after Madison Boys & Girls Club moved out last weekend.

Jailed For Giving Fake Name
Attempted To Walk Away From Traffic Stop
      A Far Rockaway woman was arrested and charged last Tues day in Kingston, Pennsyl va nia for providing police officers with a fake name during a traffic stop, according to published reports in the Wilkes-Barre Times Ledger, the area's local newspaper.

Domestic Violin Beating
      A Far Rockaway man was arrested this week when he allegedly beat his girlfriend with a violin following an argument over her mother, according to police. Gabriel Guerrero, 22, of 13-45 Eggert Place, allegedly attacked his girlfriend Sunday night with the violin and bow.

Fire Guts Boardwalk Lifeguard Shack
     Several units of local firefighters were called to the Boardwalk at Beach 95 Street at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning to fight a fire inside the lifeguard shack owned by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. It took the firefighters a few minutes to knock down the fire, which destroyed the trailer structure. Officials say that squatters may have been living in the structure, which is not used during the winter months and that one of those squatters may have inadvertently started the fire.

Aqueduct Decision Close, State Senator Says
      The end of a long and contentious bidding cycle to see who gets to put more than 2,500 video gambling terminals at Aqueduct Racetrack in Ozone Park may be in sight, according to State Senator Joseph P. Adda b bo Jr. According to Addabbo, who once represented Rockaway in the City Council, a decision should be made by the end of October.

UFOA Endorsement For Gulluscio
      The Uniformed Fire Officers Association announced their endorsement of Frank Gulluscio for New York City Council in 32nd District. The announcement came in front of FDNY Engine Company 293 in Woodhaven, where Gulluscio worked with then- Councilman Joseph Addabbo Jr. to save the firehouse from closure due to budget cuts in 2003.
