After Beach Channel QB Darryl Sanford scored a four-yard touchdown to narrow the Harry S. Truman lead to 14-13 with 1:21 left in the fourth quarter, the visiting Dolphins decided to go for the win. City Tech graduate Roman Perez scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half as he led all scorers. Perez recently graduated from City Tech and was signed to play in the Dominican Republic Basketball League. More ... When the Brooklyn Aviators take the ice on November 6, for anybody who watched last year's Brooklyn Aces play, the team will have a familiar look. Coaching the team from the sidelines will be Rob Miller, who captained the Aces in the team's initial, and only, season at Aviator Sports in Brooklyn. More ... It all came together for the BCAC Shamrocks as they won the first game of the season, 12-0. The offense started off a little slow, but they soon got rolling with some fine blocks from Mike Henglein, Matt McCabe, Vincent Visconti, John Weiss, and Charlie Bostwick. More ... In the nastiest weather in recent years, the BCAC Pee Wee Green Shamrocks took to the frozen tundra of Wantagh to face the undefeated Warriors. It was the biggest game for the Shamrocks this year and they did not disappoint their fans who traveled through flooded waters to get there. More ... On Sunday, October 18, the Rockaway Ravens football team travelled to Gorton High School in Yonkers to battle with the Gladiators. The Ravens aptly named these games the mud bowls because the teams played on a dirt field in freezing rain. It was a test of resilience for the Ravens.
