Harassment!

Dear Editor,

A lady is hanging her flag on the wall with management approval in honor of both her husband and son who died in 9/11. The neighbor wants it down, so they can hang up Hallo - ween decorations, and she is being harassed by these people. I guess if it was an Irish flag they would not complain.

This is very hurtful, just for the fact that I am a US Marine fighting for this country in Okinawa Japan. I have lived in 106-20 basically my whole life. And if I was there I would have a few choice words for this man. And for this lady I thank you for standing your ground. And for the man that wants to hang up stuff. Pick another wall you have plenty of it. The flag stands for freedom that young brave man and women are dieing for you and your kids for you can have holloween. So you should be ashamed of your self.

So much for "making the ultimate sacrifice"! Shame on the neighbors.
I am the proud wife of a firefighter who survived the collapse of the towers on 9/11 and I find it very sad that people forget so easily what happened to ALL of us on that day. It's not very much asking from a mother/widow who will suffer this awful loss until the very end of her life. I see an opportunity for the neighbors to teach their children a little respect for the men and women who died that day, explaining that the flag is here to stay, Halloween or not, to make sure that no one ever forget their sacrifice. How about this?
