New Student Council At Visitation Academy 2009-2010
Elections for Student Coun - cil, and class president and vice president were held at Visit ation Academy. The fifth, sixth-, seventh- and eighthgrade students voted for those who would direct various fundraising projects in the eighth-grade through out the school year.
The candidates gave their presentation informing the student body what they would look to accomplish throughout the year. Many informative and wonderful ideas were presented by the candidates.
Suggestions included accomplishing acts of kindness, always getting involved in whatever functions were being held at school and in the community, starting fundraisers for a new playground, talent shows, recycling in the school and community, a car wash, pajama day, field trips, rais ing awareness of the homeless, supporting the troops and letting them know we care by sending needed toiletries, suggestion boxes, and tutoring students in the class just below one's own. Each candidate gave speeches and the choice was hard, as each one gave informative presentations.
