It's a down-home Southern eat ery. Food made the old-fashioned way. It's Spooonfull Restau rant of Cornaga Avenue in Far Rockaway. Spooonfull's talented chefs are hard at work every week, preparing their special slowcooked chicken, ribs and fish for your enjoyment. They even specialize in cooking up traditional oxtails and turkey wings. The classic country side dishes are here too — collards, rice and peas, candied yams, corn on the cob, and a thick and steamy homemade macaroni and cheese that may be the best you've ever tasted!

The greens and corn bread are about all that is reccomended by doctors. It may be good but low fat food is medicine without a co-payment. I hope they offer a lowfat version.

I absolutely love the food here. My favorite is fried whiting dinner with collard greens, macaroni & cheese and corn bread. In addition, Craig Dennard and his family are beautiful people.
