Pauline Delain, a longtime Rockaway resident, died October 3.
Delain was born in Bishopville, South Carolina and worked as a presser. She joined the First Baptist Church of Lawrence in 1958.
Delain is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Delain Sr.; son, Charles E. Delain; sister, Verlie Holloman; brothers, Charlie Thomas and James Thomas.
She is survived by her seven children, Jack Delain (Elizabeth) of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Leon Delain

Norma) of Brooklyn, New York, Bobby Charles Delain of Hicksville, New York and Dianne Jones of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers, Rosa L. Thomas, Martha White, Elias Thomas and Marshall Thomas (Debbie) of Paterson, New Jersey, Mary L. Frazier (Johnny) of Bishopville, South Carolina; uncle, Johnny Jenkins of Florida; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thomas of Paterson, New Jersey and Caldine Thomas of Knoxville, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Johnny Bass of St. Albans, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loving friends, Mattie and Shirley.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York.
A memorial service was at First Baptist Church, Lawrence, New York. Disposition took place at Rockville Cemetery, Lynbrook, New York.
