Krieger was surprised when representatives from Office Max entered his classroom with a donation package containing over $1,000 worth of classroom resources. Krieger was selected by the administration of PS/MS 105 because of his dedication and commitment to teaching and his involvement with students in various community projects.

The reward was a continuation of a program started in October 2007 by Adopt-A-Classroom, and its national sponsor, Office Max, to surprise 1,000 teachers at 1,000 schools across the country each year. The program distributes over $1.2 million in classroom resources annually.
