Augustina Avenue Shooting Victim Dies

By Nicholas Briano

One of the victims of the double shooting outside 1313 Augustina Avenue on September 14 has died, according to police.

Ronald Washington, 28, along with an unidentified male, 43, were standing outside Washington's home near Nameoke Street around 8 p.m. when the gunman, dressed in black, walked up to the men and opened fire, striking Washington six times.

They were rushed to Jamaica Hospital where Washington died on Monday. The unidentified male with Washington is expected to live, according to police. Authorities believe the gunman fled towards the Nassau County border, but no arrests have been made.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to contact the 101 Precinct immediately, as the investigation is still ongoing.
