BCAC Green Shamrock Pee Wees Battle Valley Stream
The BCAC Shamrock Green Pee Wee football team was on the road for a second straight week as they took on the Valley Stream Hornets.
It was football weather for the Shamrocks as it rained heavily from start to finish. This did not slow down the victorious Green Warriors, as they came out ready to play.
The Shamrocks defense was abso - lutely amazing, led by Joey Ianello (6 tackles on the day, 16 on the year), Gerard DeJesus, Luke Jackow ski, Aiden Clifford, Joey Kazmierczuk, Anthony Fiury and Kevin Koestner. The Hornets were constantly scrambling and running from the fierce Shamrock defense.
The offense had an extremely productive day as well. Jack Allen scrambled for 52 yards and scored a touchdown (his 4th of the year). Tyler Strika joined in with 39 yards on the ground. Michael O'Connell rumbled for 148 yards and tallied a touchdown by dragging half the Hornets defense along with him.
The offensive line was the real reason the Shamrocks were able to be so productive, led by Ryan Hanning, Ryan Ehret, Thomas Houck, Michael "The Hammer" Boyle and Chris Kull - mer. The big story was the breakout of defensive star Sebastian Frie berg. He was seen all over the field making tackles and covered with a face full of mud.
The next game for the Shamrocks will take place on Saturday, October 3 at home vs. East Meadow, starting at 6 p.m. The Shamrocks would like to wish one of their biggest fans, Molly Rose, a happy birthday.
