Few Questions About Mini Golf Park

Dear Editor,

The proposed "Golf mini park" reported on August 15th, brings with it many questions.

If the park district is given the land and right of way, will it expand with eminent domain to gobble up homes at bargain prices?

Will current condos hold their value if a newer project is slated for sale when their tax abatements are up?

What good faith gesture of funds for these homes' improvement can the community board offer to ensure this is not the case BEFORE the upcoming elections?

Has a TIF district boundary been discussed, to improve the area around C-Town, raising everyone's property values?

What are the height, light, landscaping and color restrictions of the project?

If you are against such a type of Letters development or want meaningful restrictions on future projects contact Community Board 14 District Managers office at 718-471-7300 or cbrock14@nyc.rr.com and ask that your comments be relayed to the entire board via the official record of the meeting. If you want to talk to another official close by contact, Councilmember Eric A. Ulrich's Community Relations Liaison at 718-318-6411 or gsullivan@council.nyc. gov.

If you would like to join a list of neighbors concerned about property values, quality of life and TIF funding regarding the pending project or add your own voice to the pending newsletter watching this issue contact andreadeirdre@sbcglobal.net with MINIGOLF in the subject heading. If you know someone who interested but does not have email, please refer them to the local library computer, and make an appointment with the reference librarian for assistance.
