Access-A-Ride Garage To Bring 300 Jobs

All Transit, a subsidiary of the Lawrence based Hunter Ambulance has signed a ten-year lease to occupy the sanitation garage at 72-11 Amstel Boulevard. The Department of Sanitation will be moving to their new facility this month near the former Edgemere landfill. All Transit representative, Tom Lavrigata, says the company will renovate the 32,000 square foot building and turn it into an operational facility for 200 Access-ARide vehicles and 3,500 square feet of administrative office space. It is expected to bring an estimated 300 jobs to the area by the end of this year. All Transit has been operating Access-ARide vehicles for more than three years and will expand their fleet from 45 vehicles. Anyone interested in applying for a position in the new building should contact 866-55-IDRIVE.
