Midgets Lose To North And West Babylon

It was a tough two weeks for the BCAC midget team as they lost to North Babylon, and West Babylon. The 8 to 9-year-old boys played hard in both games and got excellent experience as they next play in the home opener at BCAC Memorial Field on Saturday night at 6 p.m.

It was a tough road trip for the Midgets, but there were many exciting things that the coaches did see leading into week 3. Pat Minihane had the first touchdown in game 1. Bryan Bostwick, Charlie Bostwick, Timmy McCabe, Cameron Manzi and Patrick Minihane looked good in running the ball. There was key blocking on the offensive line by Mike Henglein, Vincent Visconti, David Cancel, and Matt McCabe.

Mike Reardon and Mike O' Reilly threw some crucial blocks. The defense of Steven Kenny, Andrew Visconti, Brendon Trudden, Danny Clark, and Conor Powers started off a little slow. But as the games went on, the boys started to play excellent defense.

It seemed everyone was a little nervous and then settled in nicely. The Midget Shamrocks thank all of the parents, grandparents and friends for coming out and supporting the team. "Remember it's only a game and let the boys have fun."
