Bloomberg and Ulrich Campaign at the Great Irish Fair

Bloomberg and Ulrich at the Great Irish Fair. Bloomberg and Ulrich at the Great Irish Fair. Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New York City Councilmember Eric Ulrich Campaigned together at the 28th annual Great Irish Fair held in Coney Island on September 20. The event was sponsored by the Irish American Building Society Charities, Inc., and was billed as a celebration of Irish heritage, with music, food, dancing and family fun.

Both Bloomberg and Ulrich thanked Martin Cottingham of Holy Name parish in Park Slope, New York, for putting together an Amazing event. Cottingham replied, "All the proceeds from the event [are] going to the Catholic Schools of the Brooklyn-Queens Diocese. It's a great day to be Irish," Bloomberg said.

Ulrich, flanked by the Mayor and State Senator Marty Golden, declared, "The sun has come out for the Irish today and by the size of this crowd it looks like the Irish have returned the favor." He added, "Now who here is from the Irish Riviera, the Rockaways?"
