Local Charged In Plattsburgh Drug Bust

Fritz Boutin, age 19, of Far Rockaway. Fritz Boutin, age 19, of Far Rockaway. An upstate New York cocaine and prescription drug bust resulted in 14 arrests last week, including that of a 19- year-old Far Rockaway resident, according to published reports.

The investigation, led by the Adirondack Drug Task Force, yielded arrests of individuals mostly from the Plattsburgh, New York area, but others from as far as South Carolina and Brooklyn.

Many of the suspects charged allegedly sold drugs to undercover officers in the Task Force earlier this year. Among those suspects was Fritz Boutin of Far Rockaway, who was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing cocaine. He remains in police custody on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

The special task force is made up of State Police, Plattsburgh City Police, Clinton County Sheriff's Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Border Patrol and the District Attorney's Office.
