Hoping For Tolerance

Dear Editor,

I will be resigning my per diem position at St. John's Episcopal Hospital as per my contractual agreement on June 30. I leave without malice but with a prayer that the climate of change and tolerance currently pervading the country will someday reach the departments at St. John's Episcopal Hospital Center.

This is very important to ensure that someday all people will be treated equally and judged by a uniform standard, not for their obvious or physical differences, or for sins by association as such judgments prompt administrators to embark on non-due process and disturbing searches for needles in haystacks just to achieve a latent agenda.

This is my prayer as I leave, hoping someday it will come to fruition. I thank the hospital for the opportunity to serve and wish the hospital well and God's guidance in all of its current and future endeavors.
