The Shore Garden Club is holding its annual handmade quilt raffle to raise money for the community.

Each winter, several members of the Shore Garden Club begin hand sewing a large quilt which is then featured in a raffle open to everyone in the community. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each and can be purchased at the Rockaway Music and Arts Fall Festival at Riis Park on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. where the quilt will also be on display.

The Shore Garden Club uses funds raised by the raffle to fund several projects including, community beautification projects, maintaining two mini-parks, sponsoring the Junior Garden Club 'seedlings' and scouting in the Rockaways, as well as various plantings throughout the community.

Ticket buyers will not only get a chance to win the quilt but also aid community gardens in the process.
