Local Artist Selected F or International Exhibit

A painting by Rockaway native and watercolorist, Arlene Cornell has been accepted for The Catherine Lorrilard Wolfe Art Club 113th Annual International Juried Art Exhibition. "The Iron Bridge" will be on display at the National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South in Manhattan from October 1 to October 23. The Catherine Lorrilard Wolfe Art Club is the oldest women's art club in the United States and has been a major advocate for recognition of woman artists as well as a major supporter of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Cornell has won numerous awards though the years at juried art shows and recently won best in show at the Long Island Artists Annual Spring Art Festival. She will be exhibiting her latest paints at the upcoming Rockaway Music and Arts Council Fall Festival at Riis Park on September 12 and 13.
