Dolan Makes the Dean's List

at Marist College

The following student was named to the Marist College Dean's List for the fall 2008 and spring 2009 semesters:

Megan Dolan of Belle Harbor is a member of the Class of 2011 and is majoring in Psychology Special Education.

Marist is an independent comprehensive liberal arts college with an enrollment of 4,300 full-time undergraduate students from 39 states and seven countries. Founded in 1929, Marist offers 32 major fields of undergraduate study and 10 graduate degree programs.

Marist is included in the Princeton Review's guide to the top colleges and universities in the U.S., the Best 368 Colleges, placing Marist in the top 15 percent of all institutions of higher education in the United States. Marist is ranked among the top tier of colleges and universities in U.S. News & World Report's American's Best Colleges guide, is listed by Kiplinger's Personal Finance as "one of the country's 100 Best Buys in College Education," and is also listed in Barron's Best Buys in College Education.


Thompson Graduates

From Brooklyn College

Danielle Thompson, daughter of Annette and Steven Thompson of Breezy Point, graduated summa cum laude from Brooklyn College this spring. She will be attending Brooklyn College in the fall with plans to pursue her doctorate in Industrial Psychology.


Local Students Make Dean's Lists

Two local students, Nora E. Howard and Alanna B. Klein, have made the Dean's Lists at their respective colleges. Howard attends Saint Joseph's University, while Klein attends Binghampton University. To make the Dean's List at both colleges students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5.


Local residents Amanda and Jenna Boggiano made the Dean's List at Franklin & Marshall College for the spring 2009 semester. They are graduates of Archbishop Molloy High School and the daughters of Thomas and Kathleen Boggiano.


McMahon Graduates

From Sacred Heart University

Local resident Daniel McMahon graduated from Sacred Heart University on May 16. McMahon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.


McCluskey Makes Honors List

Local resident Maureen McCluskey has made the Honors List at Franklin & Marshall College's spring 2009 semester. She is a graduate of Townsend Harris H.S./Queens College. Her parents are Richard and Vene McCluskey of Belle Harbor.
