Staying Informed About The Health Care Plan

Dear Editor,

How much more of this bunk about the Health Care plan are we going to take from the White House, the President and his men, the Democrats and the Republicans? They spew horse manure day in and day out, but nothing they say is making us the slightest bit informed about their decisions. We know nothing at all about the plan, and that's exactly what our representatives want, to keep us in the dark. They think that we are not capable of reading or understanding the plan; we are their children to be led around on a leash listening to them. There are about a thousand pages in the plan outlining how it is going to work. Why don't we demand that the plan be posted on the internet, so we can read it and make our own decisions on it? Wouldn't that be real democracy? Maybe the plan has failed for more that 60 years because the public was excluded. Did that ever dawn on those pin head politicians? The Congress recess in August without anything being resolved could be a good thing. It will give us a chance to demand that the plan be published.

Rise up folks. This issue could be the most important one in our lifetime. We need to see what our representatives are throwing at us; we are good enough to vote for them and put them where they are. We cannot allow them to speak for us any longer. If it were up to them we would not be allowed to vote. How dare they degrade us like that? The plan will surely fail if they don't have a little more respect for the voter. And after people are more informed about the plan, maybe it should be placed on the ballot. Why not? Many plans that are much less serious go on a referendum. Let's start from the beginning and get the public more involved, otherwise another 60 years will come and go without a change.
