On July 10 children and adults alike were treated to a morning of reading at the Broad Channel Library's Storytelling in the Park program. Every morning for four weeks Broad Channel Librarian Carol Scheper read aloud to almost 60 children from popular children's books such as "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" by Laura Joffe Numeroff and "Caps for Sale" by Esphyr Slobodkina. Snacks and games were provided by the Queens Recreation Team and Urban Park Rangers. Storytelling in the Park will end on August 1.
