John P. MacSaveny, 49, a longtime summer Rockaway Point resident, died June 30.

MacSaveny was born in Queens on November 11, 1959 and lived in Bellmore. He worked as a union plumber on projects in New York and The Virgin Islands.

MacSaveny is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia MacSaveny.

He is survived by his father, Edward Allen MacSaveny; brother, E. Allen MacSaveny (Karen); sisters, Virginia Donnelly (John), Nancy Cusack (Andrew), Ann Daly (Thomas); aunt, Jean Kyne; nephews, Allen, Kyle, Ryan, Patrick and niece, Diane.

Funeral arrangements and interment remained private. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 10 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, Breezy Point at 10:00 a.m.
