Students Celebrate First Day Of Summer

"School's Out For Summer," an event sponsored by the New York City Department of Parks, was held on June 27 at Bayswater Park on Beach 32 Street and Beach Channel Drive. Participants, including a large group from the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club, celebrated the first day of summer with music, refreshments and fun activities including basketball, tennis, skate mobile, and canoeing in Norton Basin. There was also a petting zoo and bike helmet giveaways.
