Brooklyn Irish Festival Held At Aviator Sports

Irish authors appear at the festival. Irish authors appear at the festival. The Brooklyn Irish Festival was held on June 27 and 28 at Aviator Sports and Recreation in Floyd Bennett Field. Special guests included Irish authors Mary Pat Kelly, Alfie McCourt, Dan Barry and Peter Quinn and performers Patty Smyth, Mary McCabe, the Pat McGuire Band, Brian Monahan, Seanchai and the Unity Squad, Jameson's Revenge and the Wolfe Tones. Dance workshops were offered and dancers Donny Golden and Niall O'Leary performed. In addition to fun activities like face painting and a bounce house, there were Gaelic football games for children and adults.
