Thomas F. Greaney

Thomas F. Greaney, a longtime Rockaway resident, died June 29. Greaney was born in Brooklyn, New York and worked as a reporter at The New York Stock Exchange. He was a resident of Rockaway for 23 years and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Greaney is preceded in death by his son, Timothy. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; sons, Thomas Jr., Michael and Gerard; daughter, Patricia; grandchildren, Katherine, Nicole, Erin, Robert, Beth and Laura. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach. Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 2 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas More Church, Breezy Point on Friday, July 3, 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, New York. |
