Sad But Not Shocked
      Dear Editor, I was, sadly, not shocked reading in the Wave editorial (6/12/09) about seniors of the Rockaways having to make a terrible choice between food and medicine. This is a continuing horror, and it makes my blood boil— as I hope it does all of us!

She took care of Erica, showering her with all the love, care, and attention any parent can possibly give a child. Letters I have known Lorna and her family all my life, growing up and living together in the same community. They are all lovely people.

In Response To Jennie
      Dear Editor, This letter is in response to Jennie Aulicin. December 1st is AIDS awareness day. Some of the schools in Brooklyn have the students make red ribbons. They bring in AIDS panels and have a week of AIDS education and awareness. They invite people with AIDS and people who have lost someone to AIDS to come and speak.
