Tribute Park Photo Contest Deadline

The Tribute Park 2009 photo contest ends July 13. Winners will be announced at the annual "Sunset in the Park" fundraising event on July 30 inside Tribute Park. The Tribute Park photo contest deadline is almost here. All entries must be submitted and postmarked no later than July 11 or hand delivered no later than July 13. There are three prize levels for each age group with first place receiving $250, followed with second place at $100 and lastly third place will receive $50.

The contest involves three different age groups: youth, which is 12 and under; teen, 13 to 17 years old; and adult, 18 and over. Participants are asked to photograph in and around Tribute Park, located at Beach Channel Drive and Beach 116 Street. All photographs taken since the park's inception are acceptable.

A participant can submit up to three unframed 8" x 10" dated and titled photographs, plus the completed entry form, which can be found at www.rockawaychamberofcommerce. com, HSBC Bank on Beach 116 Street, Rockaway Artists Alliance office at 260 Beach 116 Street or at Community Board 14's office at 19- 31 Mott Avenue.

All entries must be mailed to or dropped off at Rockaway Artists Alliance, 260 Beach 116 Street, Rockaway Park, NY 11694.

Winners will be announced at the "Sunset in the Park" event Thursday evening July 30. The winning photographs will be displayed in frames/mats donated by One Stop Photo and Framing on Beach 115 Street.
