Scholars'Academy Goes To US Open

On Monday June 15, the Scholars' Academy High School Seawolves golf team made its way to the historic Bethpage Black golf course to view a practice round of this year's US Open.

As always for the Scholars' golf team, they arrived under gray, rainy skies, which eventually cleared to a crisp blue sky.

The team, coach and athletic director had a wonderful experience getting up close to the world's best golfers and up and coming golfers. The Scholars' team saw the best golfers from Tiger Woods and Geoff Ogilvy to Trevor Murphy and Charlie Beljan.

The Seawolves were extended an invitation to the course and the use of their hospitality tent by National Grid (thanks go to Belinda Pagdanganan) and the office of Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer.

The team sends their thanks to everyone for a great day.
