'Ask The Pharmacist Day'At SJEH
St. John's Episcopal Hospital will hold "Ask the Pharmacist Day" on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at 5 p.m. in the Ambulatory Care Center waiting area. Please bring all your medications in for the pharmacist to review. The pharmacist will go over them for possible drug-to-drug, drug-to-food interactions, as well as possible side effects or therapeutic duplication. "People receive so many prescriptions from so many different doctors that managing them all can be difficult," said Karen Muir, Pharm D, Clinical Coordinator of the Pharmacy Department at St. John's Episcopal Hospital. "As a pharmacist, I am really interested in helping people sort out possible problems with all their drugs and empowering them to make more informed choices about medications and therapies," she added.
