The New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM), gearing up for the celebration of its Centennial less than two years from now, has begun honoring some of its longest-serving faculty members. First among those recently honored was Rabbi Ephraim H. Sturm, of Far Rockaway, who for two decades has been a well-respected and much-beloved member of the faculty, serving as Adjunct Instructor of Medical Ethics in the Department of Community Health and Medicine at NYCPM.

Rabbi Sturm, former Executive Vice President of the National Council of Young Israel, received a plaque from NYCPM President and CEO Louis L. Levine at a ceremony held at the College. The plaque, citing Rabbi Sturm's decades-long relationship with NYCPM, offered a tribute to his "outstanding and dedicated service to the College and its students."
