SJEH Honors 250 For Years Of Service
St. John's Episcopal Hospital honored the longevity of its attending physicians at the quarterly meeting of the Medical Staff. The meeting was held on Tuesday, June 9 at the Lawrence Village Country Club.
A presentation on palliative care was given by Umesh Gidwani, MD, Chief, Cardiac Critical Care at Mt. Sinai Hospital of New York, Director of Palliative Medicine, Mt. Sinai Hospital of Queens, and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.
More than 250 physicians were honored at the meeting for their years of service to St. John's Episcopal Hospital. The physician with the most years of service was Mordecai Zucker, MD, Department of Family Practice, who had 55 years of service.
