Schwach Earns MPA Degree
Amy Schwach, the daughter of Wave editor Howard Schwach and his wife, Susan, of Rockaway Park earned her Masters In Public Administration (MPA) from Baruch College of the City University system at a ceremony held at Madison Square Garden on May 27.
Schwach, who is the assistant director of the Central Synagogue in Manhattan, lives in Rockaway Park. She is a graduate of Intermediate School 53 in Far Rockaway, Townsend Harris High School, and earned a BA in comunications from Queens College. Schwach earned her MPA through the prestigious Executive MPA program, which requires attendance all day every Saturday for two years.
She has been at Central Synagogue for ten years, moving up the ladder from an entry-level job in the membership department to assistant director.
