It's Fun For All At It's My Bark! Day

By Miriam Rosenberg

Dogs and humans hang around the bench to relax and play. Dogs and humans hang around the bench to relax and play. Dogs and their humans descended on the Rockaway Freeway Dog Park last Saturday for the annual "It's My Bark! Day." During the afternoon an ASPCA van provided spaying, neutering and vaccination services; and animals from the North Shore Animal League were available for adoption. In addition, many owners took advantage of the Mayor's Alliance for New York City's Animals' tent where dogs were microchipped in case of disappearance. The Allied Rockaway Foundation for Animal Recreation and Fitness (ARF ARF) and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation sponsored the event.
