Cops Seek Missing Man
      100 Precinct detectives are looking for Michael Steakin, 24, who has been missing since April 24. Michael is a white male, 6 feet two inches tall, chubby build with dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He also has a barcode tattoo on his left forearm with the word IRA420 underneath the barcode. Excavation Suspended At National Grid MGP Site
      Excavation work at the National Grid owned former manufactured gas plant site in Rockaway Park has been temporarily suspended for failing to obtain the proper trucking permits to cross the Marine Parkway Bridge, according to officials.

CBB Northbound Ramp Opens May 22

Residents Can Get Absentee Ballots By Fax
      The State Senate Elections Committee has approved legislation that would allow voters to request an absentee ballot by fax, substantially reducing the time it takes those voters to receive their ballots and making it easier for voters who are out of town or abroad to return the ballots in time for them to be counted.

Firefighters, Parks Clean Up Tribute Park
     Firefighters and Parks workers came together last weekend to spruce up Tribute Park in advance of summer. The volunteers cleaned and painted the Beach 116 Street park, a memorial to those locals who died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
