There is a stark difference taking a look at Far Rockaway's varsity baseball starting lineup on March 27 and the one that took the Central Park North Meadow field on May 20 in the PSAL B playoffs. The future looks bright for baseball and softball in Broad Channel as the St Virgilius/St Camilus Sub-Novice Shamrocks put on quite the display last weekend. The schedule had five games in three days for the softball and baseball teams. By Sunday afternoon, the second and third graders had posted a 4-1 record for the weekend. More ... Blessed Trinity will be conducting a boys and girls CYO basketball camp starting in July. The camp will be held for boys and girls who are currently enrolled from the first grade to the eighth grade as of September 2009. The boys CYO camp will be held from July 6 to July 10 and July 20-24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. More ... St. John's finished the Peninsula Cup regular season with three top seeded teams; the most of any college represented in this year's soccer tournament run by Blessed Trinity and St. Francis de Sales parishes. Notre Dame meanwhile grabbed two top spots and finished with the most points overall (71). More ...
