Securing American Values

Dear Editor,

While reading The Wave the week of May 8, page 40 "Paterson Secures Health Care Funding, I myself, and I know others, would love his up-todate decisions on allocating and redistributing these funds, where, to what boroughs and for what specific reason. What hospitals and all other programs, since there are so many that need to be rescinded out of existence with no other taking its place. We already have SSD and SSI offices and do not need ResCare, Arbor Care, and WeCare programs, which only enable people to run around and not work or go to school, all at HRA cost and whatever HRA is buying in MetroCards from the city. Continuing this mindless shaffle, and aids and abets in illegals continuing to be unlawfully supported by U.S. citizens and continuous and unwanted pregnancies to stay in our country which also unlawful and is not each American's responsibility as per The Roosevelt Law. Mayor Bloomberg hides behind Paterson and doesn't want to address any of these issues? Why is " that? You need to step up to the plate. Also, let's get serious. Why should anybody have preference on tests in school or city and state jobs? Since we all go to the same (supposedly) great NY schools. And all have the same options to study, learn, and use the libraries. So why me, a middle-class New Yorker should be penalized by not getting added points even though I am on unemployment, a single parent, and born here. Excuse Me!
