The team planted hundreds of impatiens in the approximately 40 plots created when trees were planted on the streets surrounding the Hospital by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation last year. Each tree and mini-garden is adopted and cared for by a different Hospital department, creating dozens of mini-gardens. By the end of the summer the mini-gardens will be judged and winners picked.
