Peninsula Names Employees Of Excellence
Peninsula Hospital Center named Yvette Hall, Department of Imaging Services, as its Second Quarter Employee of Excellence. Yvette has been with the Hospital Center for a total of 30 years. She began her career in the Dietary Department and joined the Radiology Department in 1980. Her co-workers and colleagues throughout the hospital admire her for her vigilance, energy, enthusiasm and her competence and her ability to handle any task required of her. Yvette moved to the Rockways in 1960 and is not only an integral part of the Hospital Center, but of the Rockaway community. "I was taught a work ethic at a very young age that I still carry with me - we work for the good of our patients - and I live by that ethic." Congratulations, Yvette - a well-deserved honor.
Recreation Therapist Jason Blumenthal, RT, earned the Employee of Excellence award from Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation. Jason has been with PCECR for three and a half years and during that time, has earned the reputation for being kind, compassionate and well organized in addition to exemplifying excellent professional skills as a recreation therapist. His colleagues describe him as the "complete package" and a person who works well with everyone. He is never too busy to stop and chat with a resident and his sense of humor delights everyone with whom he comes in contact. Jason works with patients in both PCECR and in the Hospital Center's Traumatic Brain Injury Unit. Congratulations, Jason.
Both honorees were presented their awards at an Employee of Excellence Reception in the Hospital Center earlier this month. Honorees must distinguish themselves as exceptioneal employees who demonstrate dedication and commitment to their profession and to their patients.
