PS/MS 43 Visits MOMA
Class 703 from PS/ MS 43 in Far Rockaway visited MOMA in Manhattan. They sketched several Surrealistic paintings as part of their month's study in art class. The museum is closed to the public on Tuesdays. School groups led by tecahers trained in the Ambassor's Program are allowed to take their students into the galleries and study works of their choice. Mrs. Ellis and the class had several galleries to themselves. The students exclaimed over works that they'd seen only in artbooks and on slides in class.
