Breezy Point Biathlon Back For 5th Year On June 27

The 5th Annual Breezy Point Biathlon in memory of Billy Mullally will take place on Saturday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m.

The race will start and finish at the Sugar Bowl, and feature a post-race party including music, along with complimentary food and cold beverages catered by Ludwig's Catering. As in the past, the course will be the Biathlon's patented 1.5-mile run, 3.0-mile bike, and 0.35-mile run to the finish.

Sneakers will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall (compliments of Saucony Inc.), while age group winners will receive trophies for their efforts.

The event will be limited to only 250 entrants, so pre-registration is strongly recommended.

Each participant will receive a race tshirt and offered free admission to the post race party and awards ceremony.

Applications can be found at local businesses throughout Breezy Point and Rockaway or via e-mail.

Those who do not plan on participating can volunteer the morning of the race. For more information, call Biathlon Race Director Ryan Woerner at 718-757-4669. Those who are interested in racing will have an application emailed to them.
