Local Boxer Wins Daily News Golden Gloves


Far Rockaway's Joseph Williams (left) lit up the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden last Friday night as the 20-year-old boxer won the Daily News Golden Gloves Super-Heavyweight Novice Championship. Williams, representing the Rockaway Ropes Boxing Club, recorded a majority 3-round decision over 18-year-old Patrick Neumann from Gleason's Gym.
