James H. Jackson

NYCTA Bus Driver

James H. Jackson, a longtime Belle Harbor resident, died on February 9 in Florida after a long battle with cancer.

Jackson worked as a New York City Transit Authority bus driver for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Claire; son, Luke; and his daughter Julie.

Funeral arrangements and interment remained private. A memorial service will be held at Saint Francis de Sales Church, Belle Harbor, on April 18, 11:00 a.m.
