Howie Mandel Deals At Capital Bank One Theatre
Live Nation proudly presents Canadian comedian, actor, and game show host Howie Mandel at the Capital One Bank Theatre at Westbury on Saturday, April 25 at 8 p.m. He is best known hosting NBC TV's Deal or No Deal.
Howie Mandel was first noticed when he was at the legendary Comedy Store on amateur night. A producer in the crowd hired him immediately to be on the comedygame show Make Me Laugh
His appearance on the show, which included his signature stunt of placing a latex glove over his head and inflating it with his nostrils until it propelled itself off of his head, lead to talk show appearances and a stint as the opening act for Diana Ross.
In 1981, Mandel became the first "VeeJay" to appear on Nickelodeon's music video series, Pop Clips. A year later, he landed the role of Dr. Wayne Fiscus on the award winning NBC drama, St. Elsewhere, where he remained for six seasons.
During this time, Mandel was the voice of Gizmo in the 1984 hit movie Gremlins and its 1990 sequel Gremlins 2: The New Batch.
In 1990, Mandel's Emmy Awardnominated animated children's series Bobby's World began its eight season run. Mandel was the creator and executive producer, as well as the voices of Bobby and his father. Howie was closely involved in the writing of the show, which now appears in syndication six days a week in 65 countries.
Mandel is also known for his frequent hidden camera segments on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, as well as his cameo roles on My Name is Earl and Medium. He is the first person called to fill in for Regis when on vacation from Live with Regis and Kelly. Howie became one of the few game show hosts to host both a domestic and an international version of the same game show with Deal or No Deal in the US and Deal or No Deal Canada.
He can also be seen in his new series titled Howie Do It on NBC. The show features Howie playing practical jokes upon unsuspecting people.
