PHC Security Team Member Honored By NYPD


Evy Rivera, member of Peninsula Hospital Center's security team, received the Auxiliary Officer of the Year award for the 70 Precinct from New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, on March 25, 2009, as part of Auxiliary Police Officer Appreciation Day. Officer Rivera puts in more than 100 hours per month as an Auxiliary Police Officer in the 70 Precinct in Brooklyn in addition to her full-time position with the Hospital Center's security force. Michael Valentino, director of Security at Peninsula Hospital Center, praised Officer Rivera's work at the hospital. "In her three years here at PHC, she has always given 100 percent as a Security Officer and obviously, she does so as part of the NYC Auxiliary Police force as well. We are very happy to have her on our team."
