Students Urged To Apply For Seasonal MTA Jobs
Assemblywoman Audrey I. Pheffer has announced that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is looking for students to fill Seasonal Bridge and Tunnel Officer positions.
This program is designed to offer students employment opportunities during periods of high seasonal demand. Students hired through the program will work as toll collectors on either the Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge or the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge.

Applicants must also possess a valid unrestricted driver's license.
Candidate selection will be made based on a lottery system for available positions. All qualified candidates will be notified of the results.
Applications and a list of further qualifications for the positions can be obtained at Assemblywoman Pheffer's offices located at 90-16 Rockaway Beach Boulevard and 108-14 Cross Bay Boulevard.
Applications, along with a certified copy or student copy of a college transcript from the school that you are currently attending, must be mailed to the MTA and be received between March 18, 2009 and April 17, 2009.
