Queens Library Director Goes To Albany

Discusses Budget Cuts With Assemblywoman Pheffer

Pheffer and the members of the Queens Delegation were pleased to welcome Thomas W. Galante, Director of the Queens Borough Public Library to Albany. Mr. Galante discussed the Governor's proposed library cuts and how it will impact the libraries in Queens.

"During these economically difficult times, people are relying on our public libraries as a resource not only for their education and enjoyment, but for their employment needs as well," Pheffer said.

The Queens Delegation assured Director Galante that they will continue to work diligently for the restoration of this vital funding.
