PS/MS 43 Students Create 3-D Art

Seventh grade students Gerson Amaya and Adela Vasquez worked with sticks and wire to create 3-d horse sculptures during art class with Mrs. Ellis at PS/MS 43. They were given half an hour to build a sculpture, at least 4 inches tall, with a body, head, legs, mane and tail, that stood on its own. The students work was based on the contemporary artist Deborah Butterfield who creates larger than life size horse sculptures.
